*sold out* 2nd night added! October Crow + Someone Special: presented by Waif Magazine

Los Angeles premiere - 2nd night added!

Directed by Jack Haven, October Crow follows a young woman (Alexandra McVicker) who flees Kentucky for the last Babylon of New York City where she meets benevolent hustler James Steele (poet and ex-bouncer Peter Nolan Smith) at a Bank of America. Steele names her Bella and introduces her to an underground BDSM ring run by a mysterious figure called “La Bruja” (played by Haven’s mother, Laura Lundy). The film has an original soundtrack by Mina Walker (Daisy the Great) and Avsha (Lowertown).

Hypnotic and bizarre, October Crow is an ode to the daring independent filmmakers of the 60s and 70s. It is a reclamation of what it means to be a filmmaker, to capture the tender ugliness of ones own world - no permits, no apologies, no commercial value.

Preceded by Someone Special: Kreayshawn's Home Videos - a docushort by Deja Spears compiling a series of Bay Area rapper Kreayshawn's filmed at age 10 in the early 2000s.
