Devotion & the Insatiable (an evening with Rudy Gerson), Presented by T.A.P.E.

Please join us in welcoming visiting filmmaker Rudy Gerson to the Whammy! microcinema for a screening, performance and talk, followed by a Q&A.

Rudy Gerson (b. 1993, Las Vegas, NV, USA) is an artist and educator working in a practice that channels the force of erotics as expressed in memory culture, social life, and historical inquiry. Recent works explore overlaps in collective demonstration and intimate desires, basketball and dancing, visibility and loss. Devotion and the Insatiable is an artist talk that will include screenings of recent work on 16mm and digital video and a discussion of influences and directions of past and ongoing research.
